MJ - Bad timing?

There's something I just don't get about this whole MJ chaos. Okey, so rappers make songs about him, concerts, and everybody wants to honor Michael Jackson in some kind of way. So, yea, of course everybody gotta love him, and I would wanna honor him too but the point is, I feel that I can't. I'm rather prevented by the thought or regret that I didn't do it while he was still alive. And that's what questions me when I come to notice an article in VG, where they wanna give him the noble peace prize. All I can ask is Why? First of all, if this even was possible(due to the fact that in order to receive one you have to be alive), would it make any good? Would it satify anybody else than the ones who killed him? And second, why now? In my opinion, Now is kinda too late to be wanting to appreciating this guy... But hey, what do I know. Agree/Disagree?
